Free Bike Security Marking at School
Derbyshire Constabulary and Derby City Council have teamed up with BikeRegister to offer free bike security marking in Derby City.
Students from Derby Moor were invited to bring their bikes to school this week to be security marked. This bike marking would normally cost £12 but our students received it for free.
The kit works by marking the bike with a unique code, which is linked to the owner’s details on a secure database. If their cycle is stolen and subsequently found, police can use this code to ensure the bike is returned to its rightful owner.
To keep your bike safe, register it with bike register www.bikeregister.com. There is also the facility to register your bike stolen and to check if any second hand bike you are buying has been stolen.
