Derby Moor Passport
The Derby Moor Passport is a great chance for students to get recognition for the things they do that are not academic and to help them stand out from the crowd.
Please will parents of students in Years 7&8 use this copy of the various assignments in the Derby Moor Award to encourage their young people to bring in evidence of the things they are doing anyway in their spare time and try a few new things to enable them to showcase the skills that they have that might not be shown in school subjects. This is a great chance to show what they have done that makes them stand out from the crowd. It's an opportunity to get recognition for the extra things they do that aren't academic.
All Year 7&8 have a passport with these assignments in. We need parents and carers to sign off what their children have done, help them to complete log sheets or write a brief witness testimony of what they did or encourage them to bring in copies of certificates or photos of activities. Students need to complete 5 assignments in each section - Organisation, Achievement, Community and Leisure by the end of Year 8 to achieve their Award.
